Renato Sanches linked with Wisla Plock move

Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Polish side Wisla Plock.

The 29-year-old central midfielder has been unattached since leaving Paris St-Germain on 1 September 2026. Wisla Plock play in Poland’s Ekstraklasa.

Sanches has not made an appearance this season, with no recorded involvement in Ligue 1, the Trophee des Champions or the UEFA Super Cup. His most recent club football came during a loan spell at Panathinaikos in the 2025-26 season, after which he returned to PSG before departing.

The move would offer Sanches a route back into club football after a period in which he spent time away from PSG’s first-team setup. He joined the French club from Lille in August 2022 for a reported €15m transfer fee and subsequently had loan spells with Roma, Benfica and Panathinaikos.

Sanches began his senior career at Benfica and has also played for Bayern Munich and Swansea City. He won the Bundesliga four times with Bayern and claimed two French league titles, with Lille and PSG.

Internationally, Sanches was part of Portugal’s European Championship-winning squad in 2016 and won the UEFA Nations League with his country in 2019. He also received the Golden Boy award in 2016.

The reported interest from Wisla Plock remains a rumour, with no transfer agreement or contract details confirmed.
