Benjamin Moukandjo Set to Join Stade de Reims
Cameroonian international Benjamin Moukandjo is poised to join Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims, according to L’Équipe. The 25-year-old midfielder, currently a free agent after the end of his contract with AS Nancy, is expected to finalize his move in the coming days.
Moukandjo will fill the void left by Togolese international Floyd Ayité, who recently signed for SC Bastia. The transfer represents a new chapter for the dynamic midfielder, who spent the last three seasons in Lorraine and previously played for AS Monaco and Nîmes.
A regular with the Indomitable Lions, Moukandjo featured in all of Cameroon’s matches during the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Despite the team’s disappointing exit in the group stage after three consecutive losses, Moukandjo’s performances demonstrated his skill and determination on the international stage.
His arrival at Reims adds depth and experience to the squad as the club looks to strengthen ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign.
