Jean-Luc Vasseur Appointed New Coach of Reims
French football club Stade de Reims has confirmed the appointment of Jean-Luc Vasseur as their new head coach, signing him on a two-year contract. The former Créteil manager joins the club following an agreement between Reims and Créteil.
The coaching position at Reims had been vacant since the departure of Hubert Fournier to Olympique Lyonnais. The club initially approached Frédéric Hantz for the role, but the experienced coach declined the offer.
Vasseur will now take charge of Reims’ preparations for the upcoming season, leading a squad that includes Togolese internationals such as goalkeeper Agassa Kossi and midfielder Floyd Ayité.
The club and its supporters will look to Vasseur to build on last season’s performances and steer Reims towards greater success in the French league.
