Reeve Frosler targets strong Kaizer Chiefs finish

Kaizer Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler admits it will be a challenge for the team to stay fully motivated in their final Betway Premiership matches, even though they have already secured a Top Three finish and a place in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup.

He believes professionalism must drive Amakhosi as they prepare to face AmaZulu and look to close out the campaign in the right way.

“It’s going to be difficult to stay motivated. I mean, our aim was to get into the top one, two, and three. We managed to successfully do that now, so it is a little bit more challenging. But I think, us staying professional, we’ve got to go out there and still do the job,” he told Kaizer Chiefs media.

“The more games we win, the better position for the club, and the better we can start our next phase of things.”

Frosler says Chiefs are using the final two fixtures as a platform to build towards next season, with an eye on matching the club’s 57‑point haul from 2020, when they narrowly lost the title to Mamelodi Sundowns. He also highlights the positive mood in training, stressing that the players are “having fun” while remaining focused on the game plan as they brace for a tough test against an AmaZulu side still fighting for log position.
