Reda Shata, former star of Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, emphasized that experience tipped the scales in the Red’s favor against Young Africans of Tanzania in a match that brought them together in the African Champions League.
In remarks made on the “Al Reimontada” program on Al-Mehwar channel, Reda Shata stated, “The experience of Al Ahly was the reason for the victory over Young Africans.
The performance was not the best in the match, but while watching the game, you could feel Al Ahly’s victory approaching throughout the match.”
He continued, “There was some complacency at times during the match, but Al Ahly is currently moving with a policy of a train. Whoever catches up with the train will be with the team.
There is no fixed formation in many positions in Al Ahly, and as long as the results are good, everyone will adhere.”
He added, “I don’t think Mahmoud Kahraba is the number 3 among Al Ahly’s strikers.
Marcel Koller, the team’s coach, wants to provoke him.”
Reda Shata concluded his remarks by saying, “Mahmoud Kahraba is a very important player for Al Ahly, and I think he will be provoked by Koller’s statements.”
