Real Native have signed former Richards Bay midfielder Mbulelo Nombengula as they look to strengthen their squad for the Motsepe Foundation Championship title race.
The Eastern Cape-born player joined Richards Bay in July 2025 from Sinenkani FC, who compete in the Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League.
Six months later, Nombengula moved to Midlands Wanderers FC on loan to gain regular first-team football. The left winger returned to Richards Bay at the start of the current season, but was subsequently released by the club.
Real Native have moved quickly to bring him in, with the Mpumalanga-based side currently third in the Motsepe Foundation Championship table. They have collected 16 points from their opening eight matches.
Nombengula’s new club will face North West University at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium this coming weekend.
