Real Madrid unveil striking fuchsia third kit for 2026-27 season
Real Madrid have unveiled their third kit for the 2026-27 season, with the adidas design featuring a fuchsia colour with a red tint.
Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior were selected to appear in the promotional images for the new shirt.
The launch completes Real Madrid’s kit announcements for the new campaign. The club revealed its green away kit several days ago, having announced the traditional home strip earlier.
The shirts are made using what Real Madrid described as the most advanced materials available and include adidas’ HEAT.RDY technology. The system is designed to regulate airflow and help keep the players cool during matches.
Real Madrid’s announcement came later than has usually been the case. The club had traditionally unveiled its kit for the following season before the previous campaign had ended, with the design expected to be worn in the final home match of the season.
However, Real Madrid’s failure to win any trophies appears to have led the club’s management to delay the release of the new third shirt.
The club will compete in four competitions during the 2026-27 season: La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup and the UEFA Champions League.
The fuchsia-red design will therefore form part of Real Madrid’s matchwear for a campaign in which the club will again compete across domestic and European football. Its unveiling follows the earlier launches of the home and green away kits, giving the squad its full set of three shirts for the new season.
Bellingham, Alexander-Arnold, Mbappe and Vinicius were the players used to promote the latest design in the club’s official imagery. Their involvement provided the main visual focus of the launch, which was centred on the distinctive colour of the third strip and its technical construction.
The HEAT.RDY feature is intended to manage air circulation throughout matches, with the aim of helping players maintain a cooler body temperature while playing. Real Madrid said the shirts use advanced materials as part of that design.
The timing of the announcement marks a departure from the club’s customary schedule. Instead of presenting the next season’s third kit before the end of the previous campaign, Real Madrid waited until Wednesday, 12 August 2026, when the announcement was published at 11:43 by FilGoal.
Real Madrid’s first-team calendar for the new season will include the Spanish league, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup and the Champions League. The newly launched shirt will sit alongside the previously announced home and green away versions as the club prepares for those four competitions.
