Real Madrid renew interest in Moroccan youngster Abdellah Ouazane

Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly renewed their interest in Moroccan midfielder Abdellah Ouazane, who currently plays for Dutch club Ajax.

According to Italian website Tuttomercatoweb, Real Madrid continue to monitor the 17-year-old’s progress after previously coming close to signing him in 2025.

The report says Real Madrid are gathering information about Ouazane’s performances and development at Ajax, although no formal negotiations have yet been opened.

The Moroccan midfielder was reportedly close to joining the Spanish giants during the summer of 2025, with the deal nearing completion before it collapsed at the final stage.

The move is said to have broken down after Ouazane failed medical examinations conducted by Real Madrid.

Ouazane earns Morocco call-up

Ouazane has also attracted attention at international level after being included in Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi’s 29-man squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The youngster was called up for Morocco’s matches against Gabon and Lesotho as the Atlas Lions begin their qualifying campaign.

Real Madrid’s renewed interest could provide another significant opportunity for Ouazane as he continues his development in Dutch football.
