Real Madrid ready to break club record for Michael Olise

Real Madrid are prepared to stretch their budget to €180 million for Michael Olise, surpassing the €150 million figure Florentino Perez had initially outlined as his ceiling for a marquee summer signing, according to Fabrizio Romano.

This escalation marks what could become the summer’s defining transfer saga, with Olise set to become Real Madrid’s most expensive signing by a considerable margin if the deal proceeds.

Perez fell for the Bayern Munich winger after watching him across two Champions League encounters last season, with the French international reminding the president of some of the great players he has brought to the Bernabeu over the years. Olise performed exceptionally well for Bayern Munich in the 2025/26 season, helping the club win the Bundesliga title with standout attacking displays.

Real Madrid plan to submit an opening bid of €150 million on Tuesday, though Bayern are expected to reject any approach and remain firm on keeping Olise. Intermediaries are already in contact, with Perez working behind the scenes to make this historic deal happen for the 23-year-old French international.
