REAL MADRID: RAPHAËL VARANE NOT WORRIED ABOUT HIS FUTURE

Raphael Varane has faced challenges during the current season due to persistent physical problems, particularly with his right knee, which underwent surgery in May. The French international, who plays as a defender for Real Madrid, acknowledges the slow recovery of his knee is hindering him from playing at full capacity. Despite these setbacks, Varane remains optimistic about his future with the club.

“Injuries are very common in a player’s career; you must keep the faith, be confident, and above all not lose hope,” emphasized Varane in an interview with the daily As. Reflecting on his time with Real Madrid, he mentioned, “I was ready to play in Madrid. It took me a year to sort out some details and get used to the club in general. Last season, everything was fine. Now it’s even better.”

Despite being away from La Liga pitches due to the knee injury, Varane expressed his hope to meet the challenges ahead. He said, “I hope to be up to the task. To get there, I have to continue to work hard and hope that everything goes the way I want (…) I have a lot of room for improvement.” Currently sidelined, Varane is not expected to return to the field until 2014.
