Real Madrid puts Kobbie Mainoo transfer on hold as club reassesses priorities

Real Madrid has decided not to pursue the signing of Manchester United’s young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo during the upcoming January transfer window.

Napoli is among the clubs still interested in the English youngster, keeping an eye on potential opportunities as January approaches. For now, Mainoo remains in limbo at Manchester United, where he’s struggled for game time.

Kobbie Mainoo has not started any matches in the 2025/26 Premier League so far; all of his league appearances this season have come from the bench.
