Cristiano Ronaldo’s determination to break records continues to drive his actions at Real Madrid, even against the wishes of his coach, Carlo Ancelotti. With the La Liga title out of reach and the Champions League final approaching, Ancelotti had hoped to rest the Portuguese star for their upcoming match against Espanyol Barcelona.
However, Ronaldo has other plans. According to Marca, he is eager to play to further extend his lead in the race for the Pichichi, La Liga’s top scorer award. With 31 goals to his name, Ronaldo currently leads the scoring charts by three points ahead of Lionel Messi and is also vying for the European Golden Shoe, sharing the top spot with Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.
Ronaldo made his stance clear, stating, “If I feel good, they should listen to what I say because I know my body better than anyone. Of course, they have their opinion, and I have mine. And my opinion is the one that counts.”
