Sami Khedira Undergoes Knee Surgery but Injury Not Serious, Real Madrid Confirms
Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira underwent a minor surgical procedure on his left knee on Wednesday, the club confirmed in an official statement.
The German international had the arthroscopy performed at the Hessingpark Clinic in Augsburg by Dr. Ulrich Boenisch. The operation was deemed necessary as part of his ongoing treatment, but the club described the injury as less serious than initially feared.
Khedira is already sidelined due to a hamstring injury in his left leg, which he sustained at the start of the recent international break. He is expected to be out of action for approximately six weeks.
Real Madrid’s medical team will closely monitor his recovery, with hopes that the midfielder will return to full fitness in time to contribute during the crucial stages of the season.
