Sami Khedira, who suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a friendly match between Germany and Italy in November 2013, is set to make his return to the pitch very soon, as announced by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti.
According to Ancelotti, the German international is expected to return to training within two or three weeks.
“Everything is going well. I believe that within 15 to 20 days he will be able to return to Madrid and start training with the team again. We hope that he will be able to resume playing before the end of the season,” Ancelotti revealed during a press conference on Saturday.
This news comes as a positive development for Khedira, who aims to be fit for the upcoming World Cup with the German national team.
