French-Malian defender Ibrahim Konate has emerged as a transfer target for Spanish giants Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
Konaté has been in a rich vein of form and has emerged as a top transfer target for several big clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid.
Since joining Liverpool in 2021, Konate has established himself as one of the best and most important players for the Reds.
The 25-year-old has become a key figure at the heart of the Liverpool defence and has been a regular alongside Virgil van Dijk this season.
This season, he has scored two goals and provided two assists in 29 matches in all competitions for Arne Slot’s side.
Konate will be out of contract in summer 2026 and reports suggests he is one of the three centre-backs Madrid have on their shortlist for the summer.
Meanwhile, it is unknown whether the eneterprsing defender will agree to a move to Real Madrid.
