Real Madrid are reportedly assessing Vinicius Junior’s physical condition as the Brazilian forward struggles to regain his best form under manager Jose Mourinho.
According to Spanish publication El Debate, the club are examining the winger’s body structure to establish whether physical changes could explain his apparent decline in speed and explosiveness.
The 26-year-old is reportedly conscious of his struggles and determined to return to the level that previously made him one of Europe’s most dangerous attackers.
Mourinho remains committed to helping the Brazilian rediscover his confidence and attacking threat. However, the Portuguese tactician is equally determined to prioritise the team’s interests if performances fail to improve.
Vinicius has reportedly been given a month to demonstrate progress, with December’s challenging away fixtures against Athletic Club and Arsenal potentially proving decisive for his position in the starting lineup.
Real Madrid are also keen to protect the development of fellow winger Yan Diomande, whose preferred position on the left could create further competition for the Brazilian.
While Mourinho hopes to restore Vinicius to his best, the forward risks losing his regular starting place if he cannot deliver the required improvements.
