Real Madrid call on Diomande and Militao for pre-match fan event

Real Madrid assigned first-team players Yan Diomande and Eder Militao to meet supporters at the club’s hotel before Sunday evening’s El Clasico against Barcelona in La Liga.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the pair took part in an event with fans just hours before the match. Some supporters were able to take photographs with the players and collect their autographs ahead of the meeting at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcelona begin the fixture top of La Liga with 27 points, while Real Madrid are third on 21 points. The leaders have the opportunity to extend their advantage in the table with victory.

Although the league season remains long, the match carries major significance for both sides. Barcelona can strengthen their position at the summit, while Real Madrid need the points to revive their challenge after a difficult spell.
