RB Leipzig refuse to sell Yan Diomande this summer

RB Leipzig are determined to keep highly rated winger Yan Diomande this summer, even as interest from Europe’s biggest clubs intensifies.

Liverpool have already seen an offer worth up to 100 million euros rejected, and clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all tracking the 19-year-old.

Reports in England suggest Chelsea are particularly keen but do not want to go beyond the 100 million euro mark. Diomande is said to have given a general indication of interest to several clubs, and during the World Cup he hinted that he expects to leave his current side at some point.

However, Leipzig have made an internal decision that there will be no sale this summer. The only exception they would consider is a transfer that includes an immediate loan back to Leipzig for another year, ensuring they keep him in their squad in the short term.

The Bundesliga club are also working on extending Diomande’s contract, which already runs until 2030. Any new deal would include a pay rise, underlining how central they see him to their project.
