RB Leipzig open door for Johan Bakayoko’s January departure
RB Leipzig are prepared to let Belgian winger Johan Bakayoko leave the club during the January transfer window after he struggled to establish himself since joining from PSV Eindhoven in the summer of 2025.
According to journalist Philipp Hinze, Leipzig are now open to offers for the 23-year-old, whose playing time has been limited this season.
Bakayoko has made just four appearances, totalling 149 minutes, and has been unable to secure a regular place in the team.
Disciplinary issue adds to Bakayoko’s struggles
The winger’s situation at Leipzig has become more difficult after he was left out of the squad for the match against Eintracht Frankfurt for disciplinary reasons.
His limited involvement has reportedly prompted the Bundesliga club to consider a January departure.
Leipzig set asking price
Leipzig are demanding €12 million for Bakayoko but are also willing to consider loan offers during the winter transfer window.
The Belgian could therefore be heading for a new opportunity as he looks to revive his career after a difficult spell in Germany.
