RB Leipzig have reportedly moved into pole position in the pursuit of English-Ghanaian forward Tyrique George, with the Chelsea youngster keen on securing regular first-team football.

The 19-year-old is said to be dissatisfied with his limited opportunities under manager Enzo Maresca and is pushing for a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.

George has found game time hard to come by this season, featuring only four times as a substitute in the Premier League. In the UEFA Champions League, he has started once in four appearances and managed to score a goal.

Interest in the highly rated attacker is growing, with several Premier League clubs including Leeds United, Everton and Fulham monitoring his situation. However, RB Leipzig have also entered the picture and are believed to be strongly considering a move.

The Bundesliga side are widely regarded as a favourable destination for emerging talents, having previously helped develop players such as Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku.

A switch to Leipzig could offer George a greater chance of consistent minutes, even with competition for places within the squad.
