German Bundesliga club RB Leipzig have ramped up their efforts to sign Moroccan winger Chemsdine Talbi from Belgian outfit Club Brugge ahead of the summer transfer window.
Talbi has enjoyed a standout season following his breakthrough into the first team, making 44 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and registering five assists.
Although earlier reports suggested Brugge were seeking a €20 million fee for the 21-year-old, a representative from his agency, YOU FIRST, has dismissed that valuation as inaccurate.
Despite the uncertainty around the price tag, interest in Talbi remains high, with Leipzig currently leading the chase for his signature.
The German side are in the midst of a squad overhaul after a disappointing campaign and see Talbi as a key figure in their planned attacking revamp. The player is reportedly open to making the move.
Talbi was recently called up to the Moroccan senior national team for their March international camp but missed out on playing time due to injury. Nonetheless, he remains firmly in the plans of head coach Walid Regragui.
With Talbi under contract at Club Brugge until June 2027, the Belgian side hold a strong position in any potential transfer negotiations.
