Burkina Faso midfielder Razack Yoda open to next move after strong campaign
Burkina Faso midfielder Razack Yoda has described his latest campaign with FC Milsami Orhei as a positive and demanding season, highlighting both domestic success and the challenges of competing in Europe.
After helping the club win the Moldovan championship last season, Milsami entered the new campaign with increased expectations, particularly as they took part in European qualification matches alongside their domestic commitments.
Yoda acknowledged that the step up in demands made the season more intense, with the squad competing across multiple competitions while trying to maintain consistency in the league.
Speaking to 226foot, the midfielder reflected on the scale of his involvement throughout the year.
After winning the Moldovan championship last season, there were high expectations this year. Expectations, but also challenges with European competition.
I played in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League and the Conference League, in addition to the league. So it was a very intense season.
I played practically every game: 36 matches, culminating in qualification for the Conference League preliminary rounds. I’m completely satisfied.
The 25-year-old, who has previously played in Austria with TSV Hartberg and in Denmark with Hobro IK, said his time in Moldova represented another important step in his career development.
He added that adapting to a new league and maintaining consistent performances across a long season contributed to what he considers a successful year.
After Austria and Denmark, Moldova was a new experience for me. Everything went well, culminating in a championship title and qualification for the Conference League this year. There are leads and contacts, but for now, it’s vacation time. We’ll take a break and see what happens next.
Yoda finished the campaign with 36 appearances, scoring once and providing two assists, underlining his importance to the squad throughout a busy schedule.
With his contract situation and future now open, the Burkina Faso international is expected to attract interest from clubs across several European leagues during the upcoming transfer window as he evaluates his next move.
