Rayane Ait Mouloud’s brief tenure at Olympique Akbou has come to an unexpected end.
The 21-year-old left winger, who joined the Soummam Lions just five months ago, saw his contract terminated amicably as the winter transfer window opened.
Ait Mouloud arrived in July with high hopes, having signed a three-season deal to bolster the club’s Ligue 1 aspirations. Known for his pace and technical ability, the young talent struggled to meet expectations during his short stay. Despite his potential, the club opted for an early departure, parting ways with him as they reassessed their plans.
“Olympique Akbou announces the amicable termination of Rayane Ait Mouloud’s contract. We thank Rayane for his work, his seriousness and his excellent behavior, both on and off the field. We wish him much success in the rest of his career and in all his future projects. Good luck, Rayane!” the club stated in their official announcement.
Before joining Olympique Akbou, Ait Mouloud had previously played for ES Ben Aknoun. His next career move remains to be seen.
