Rayan Fofana: Rangers linked with Lens forward
French-Ivorian forward Rayan Fofana, who plays for Lens, has been linked with Scottish Premiership side Rangers.
The 20-year-old centre-forward is contracted to Lens until 30 June 2029, with his current market value listed at €8m. No transfer fee or probability has been reported for a potential move to Ibrox.
Fofana has made one appearance for Lens this season, featuring for 17 minutes in the French Super Cup. He did not start the match and has yet to score or provide an assist in the campaign.
The Paris-born striker joined Lens’ senior squad from the club’s under-19 side in July 2025. He came through Lens’ academy after joining from Drancy’s youth setup in 2021 and has remained with the French club throughout his development.
Fofana was part of the Lens side that won the French Cup in the 2025-26 season and also collected the French Super Cup in the following campaign. He has so far made one recorded senior appearance in the Trophee des Champions, playing 15 minutes in that competition.
Any move would therefore involve Rangers pursuing a young forward who remains tied to Lens on a long-term contract. The transfer remains at the rumour stage, with Fofana currently a Lens player.
