Raphinha faces late fitness test before Barcelona’s Getafe trip

Doubts are growing over whether Barcelona forward Raphinha will be fit to face Getafe on Saturday after he continued to train alone on Thursday, according to RAC1.

The Brazil international did not take part in the team session, although he has not yet been ruled out of the La Liga fixture.

Raphinha is due to undergo further medical tests on Friday, when Barcelona will assess whether he can be involved against Getafe.

Sport expects the 14-goal forward to be left out of the starting line-up, with a place on the substitutes’ bench considered the more likely option if he is included in the squad.

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is also considering resting Raphinha before a demanding run of fixtures.

The Catalan club will face Galatasaray, Real Betis, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in succession after Saturday’s match.

Raphinha has played eight matches for Barcelona this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions and providing three assists.
