Morocco international Couhaib Driouech is expected to complete his move to Rangers on Thursday after undergoing a medical ahead of his proposed transfer from PSV Eindhoven.

Dutch journalist Erik Elfrink reported that only minor contractual details remained before the 24-year-old winger could be officially unveiled by the Scottish club.

“Confirmation from the Netherlands: tomorrow, weather permitting, Couhaib Driouech will be presented in Glasgow and the final details will be ironed out,” Elfrink wrote.

“There were still some contractual points and commas this evening, but everything is now in the bag. A medical examination has taken place.”

Driouech completes medical

The latest development follows weeks of negotiations between Rangers and PSV, with the two clubs now understood to have reached an agreement over the transfer.

Driouech travelled to Scotland to complete the medical process and expressed his desire to finalise the move before leaving for Glasgow.

“I’m looking forward to the medical examination and hope everything goes well so I can sign,” he told reporters at the airport.

The Moroccan winger also revealed his excitement about playing in front of the Rangers supporters after hearing about the atmosphere at Ibrox.

“I’ve heard a lot of positive things about the Rangers fans, and I’m looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere inside the stadium.”

Champions League experience

Driouech arrives in Glasgow with valuable European experience gained during his two seasons with PSV.

The Morocco international has faced some of Europe’s biggest clubs during his time in the Netherlands and scored against both Arsenal and Liverpool in the Champions League.

His performances have helped establish him as one of the Eredivisie’s most promising attacking players.

That experience could prove valuable to Rangers as they prepare for the demands of the new season and continue to strengthen their squad.

Rangers move enters final stage

With his medical completed and only final contractual details reportedly outstanding, Driouech is now expected to be presented as a Rangers player.

If the paperwork is completed as anticipated, the Moroccan international will become one of the Scottish club’s major summer additions.

For Driouech, the move represents a fresh challenge outside the Netherlands and an opportunity to continue his development while playing in front of the passionate Rangers support at Ibrox.
