Randal Kolo Muani’s anticipated loan to Juventus has descended into chaos, leaving both clubs embroiled in controversy.
The 26-year-old French striker had seemingly completed his move to the Serie A giants after Juventus head coach Thiago Motta confirmed his arrival in a Friday press conference. However, a major oversight has left the transfer in limbo.
Paris Saint-Germain, Kolo Muani’s parent club, reportedly exceeded FIFA’s limit of six international loans, blocking the deal from proceeding. The Parisians have already sent Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig), Carlos Soler (West Ham), Nordi Mukiele (Bayer Leverkusen), Renato Sanches (Benfica), Juan Bernat (Villarreal), and Cher Ndour (Beşiktaş) abroad this season.
Juventus, blindsided by the revelation, reacted furiously. Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli was said to be “apoplectic,” targeting PSG’s loan overseer Pasquale Sensibile with sharp criticism. The Turin club reportedly branded PSG’s handling of the situation as “absolutely amateurish.”
To resolve the impasse, PSG may need to terminate Cher Ndour’s loan at Beşiktaş, potentially paving the way for Kolo Muani’s long-awaited Serie A debut.
