Raja Casablanca intensified its search for a new left-back after Youssef Belammari refused to extend his contract, and club officials placed Yahia Attiat-Allah among the leading candidates to replace him.

A source contacted by Site Info confirmed Raja’s interest and explained that the club closely studies Attiat-Allah’s situation.

The Moroccan defender continues to rank among the strongest left-backs available to clubs in North Africa, but negotiations have not reached a decisive stage.

The source stressed that Raja wants to explore multiple options before committing to any transfer.

Attiat-Allah also seeks to end his time with Russian side Sochi. He informed those close to him that he wants a move, while Sochi prefers to keep him or receive a transfer fee before releasing him.

The two sides continue to disagree on the terms of his exit, which leaves his future uncertain.

Wydad Casablanca entered the race as well. The club wants a defender who can challenge Ayoub Bouchta for the starting role, and Attiat-Allah’s history with Wydad makes him an attractive option.

His previous spell at the club strengthens Wydad’s confidence in the player, but it also raises the stakes between the Casablanca rivals.

Raja’s pursuit of a new left-back stems from Belammari’s firm decision not to renew his deal.

Interest from abroad, including from Egyptian giants Al Ahly, convinced him to examine opportunities outside Morocco.

Raja now pushes to identify a replacement quickly to avoid disruption ahead of the coming season.

Uncertainty surrounding Attiat-Allah’s future, combined with competing offers and Sochi’s demands, ensures that the transfer battle remains wide open.

Both Casablanca clubs continue to monitor developments as they search for clarity in the days ahead.
