Raja Casablanca supporters are anxiously monitoring developments surrounding Ayoub Maamouri as uncertainty continues to surround his future with the club, with key decisions expected before the winter transfer window shuts.
Reliable sources indicate that Raja’s management has narrowed discussions to two main options regarding the winger, as the club weighs both sporting needs and financial considerations during the ongoing transfer period.
One proposal under serious consideration is the temporary transfer of Ayoub Maamouri to a Libyan club until the end of the season. This move would bring in a reported financial return of 600 million centimes, a prospect that has gained backing from several board members due to the club’s current need for additional revenue.
The second option on the table involves a potential swap deal with Ittihad Touarga. Under this arrangement, Maamouri would make the switch to the Rabat-based side, while right back Younes Akhraz would head in the opposite direction to join Raja Casablanca.
Akhraz has been one of the standout performers this season and is viewed as a possible solution to strengthen Raja’s right side. This comes amid concerns over the recent struggles of Abdelkrim Baadi, whose poor display in the last outing against Ittihad Touarga reportedly led to him falling out of favour with South African coach Fadlo Davies.
Maamouri previously caught the eye during his time with Olympique Dcheira in the Botola Pro Inwi Division Two, where his performances as a winger earned him a move to Raja. However, stiff competition within the squad has limited his playing time, prompting serious discussions about a temporary or permanent exit.
Those closely following Raja’s internal affairs believe the swap deal could be technically beneficial, provided the club secures a winger capable of delivering immediate attacking impact. This is particularly important with demanding fixtures on the horizon in both the Throne Cup and the league campaign.
