Moroccan outfit Raja Casablanca has reposed confidence in under-pressure coach Ricardo Sa Pinto despite the team’s recent struggles.
Raja have endured a terrible under the Portuguese gaffer, losing two and drawing five in seven games, marking the worst record for a coach at the beginning of his career in the club’s history.
Over thousand fans exploded and chanted for the dismissal of the coach on Tuesday when Raja Casablanca succumbed to a 2-0 home defeat to FAR Rabat in the group stage opener of the CAF Champions League.
Despite the poor run, the club has opted to keep Ricardo Sa Pinto, banging their hopes in the coach to turn things around.
The Portuguese trainer has a clause that protect him irrespective of the results until January 2025.
Raja risk paying approximately half a million euros as a penalty clause should they decide to part ways with him before January.
However, Raja will wait until January before taking a decision if results does not change. They will be required to pay only two months of his salary as compensation if he is sacked next year.
