Raja Casablanca left back Youssef Belammari close to Al Ahly move

Moroccan left back Youssef Belammari is just one step away from joining Egyptian giants Al Ahly after a week of intensive negotiations between the two clubs.

A source inside Al Ahly Kooora that the club has already reached a full agreement with the player on his personal terms, in the presence of his agent.​

The same source explained: “Raja Casablanca tried every possible way to renew Belamri’s contract and initially refused to sell him before an extension, in order to raise the financial value of the deal.” Raja were also slow to respond to Al Ahly’s first offer but have finally shown flexibility in the last hours.​

According to the source, the only remaining point of disagreement is the resale clause. Al Ahly proposed giving Raja 10% of any future sale, while the Moroccan club is insisting on 20%. The deal is expected to be finalized within the next few hours or at the start of next week at the latest.​

Meanwhile, Al Ahly are preparing to face Ceramica Cleopatra on Friday, in the second round of Group A in the Egypt Capital Cup.
