Raja Casablanca denies contact with Zamalek over Yousri Bouzok's transfer

Raja Casablanca has firmly denied reports suggesting that Algerian striker Yousri Bouzok is set for a move to Egyptian club Zamalek during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Recent Moroccan media outlets, including the well-regarded Hesport, claimed that Bouzok had expressed his desire to leave Raja, with sources suggesting that the club would not oppose his departure, provided an acceptable offer was made.

The striker’s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, fueling speculation about his future.

Sources close to the club have indicated that Bouzok, who was the top scorer in the Botola Pro last season, does not intend to return to Algeria and is keen on seeking a new professional challenge if he leaves Raja.

Despite this, an influential member of Raja’s management stressed that the club is not willing to allow any player whose contract is nearing its end to leave without securing financial compensation.

Additionally, the club has yet to receive a definitive response from Bouzok regarding several renewal proposals, leaving the situation in limbo.

However, in response to the growing rumors of a potential move to Zamalek, Khalid Fikri, the secretary general of Raja, categorically denied any discussions between the two clubs.

Speaking exclusively to Egypt’s Kora Plus website, Fikri stated, “Zamalek has never contacted us to recruit Yousri Bouzok, as has been reported.”

Fikri went on to reaffirm that Bouzok remains contracted to Raja and is fully committed to the club until the conclusion of his current agreement.

Bouzok’s future at Raja is a subject of much interest, given his impressive form in the domestic league.

The forward’s next move will likely depend on both his personal preferences and the club’s efforts to secure a financial return should he depart in the coming months.
