Raja Casablanca have suffered a significant blow ahead of their National Professional Football Championship clash against Renaissance Zemamra, scheduled for Sunday at the Mohammed V Sports Complex at 6 pm.
South African head coach Fadlo Davies confirmed that two key players will be unavailable for the match: midfielder Mohamed Al-Makazi and Nigerian striker Mathias Owoesi, both sidelined with adductor muscle injuries.
Their absences present a challenge for Davies as he seeks to maintain tactical stability and push for a positive result in a crucial tenth-round encounter.
Despite the setbacks, Raja are relying on home advantage, the backing of their supporters, and squad depth to compensate for the missing players. Davies has indicated that alternative options from the reserve bench will be used to adapt his lineup and maintain competitiveness.
The refereeing team for the fixture has been announced by the National Professional Football League: Mohamed El Baroudi will take charge, assisted by Abertoun Abdel Samad and Ait Seddid Khaled, with Qadim Zouhair as fourth official and Suleiman El Atifi overseeing video technology.
Raja’s focus remains on securing a win to strengthen their position in the standings, regain momentum, and build confidence as the championship enters its next phase.
