Raja Casablanca have called off their planned friendly against Hassania Agadir after both clubs failed to agree on a venue for the match.

The fixture, which was scheduled to take place this week as part of preparations for the resumption of the domestic league in early April, was initially set to be played in Marrakech.

However, Raja officials pushed for the game to be held at the club’s academy on the outskirts of Casablanca, while Hassania preferred to keep the original location, ultimately leading to the cancellation.

The situation unfolds against the backdrop of ongoing uncertainty in the national competition, which has been temporarily suspended due to disputes over the scheduling of second-leg matches.

Wydad Athletic Club have maintained their stance of not playing postponed fixtures due to multiple player call-ups to national teams, while Raja have insisted that second-leg matches should not proceed until all first-leg fixtures are completed.

As a result, Raja’s technical staff have been forced to adjust their preparation plans. Head coach Fadlo Davies has opted to arrange three alternative friendly matches during the break to maintain the squad’s fitness levels and competitive sharpness ahead of the league’s return.

Training sessions have also been affected by the absence of several players on international duty. Goalkeeper Mehdi El Harrar has joined the national team camp for the upcoming friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay.

Meanwhile, Mouad Dahak is with the Olympic side preparing for two friendly matches against Saudi Arabia at the Mohammed VI Football Centre.

Despite the disruption, Raja remains focused on fine-tuning their preparations as they aim to return to competition in optimal condition.
