Raja Casablanca calm over Youssef Belammari future amid Al Ahly talk

A Raja Casablanca source has played down growing speculation linking defender Youssef Belammari with moves to either Wydad or Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

The official stressed that, inside the club, there is no panic and no reaction to the constant rumours surrounding the Morocco international.​

The source explained that Belamri remains fully committed to Raja, even though his contract expires at the end of the season.

He said: “Belammari is a Raja player, and although his deal is nearing its end, he will go to the Africa Cup of Nations, then return to finish the season with us to chase the league title and the Throne Cup.” The club intends to sit down with him after that to discuss an extension.​

The official added that similar noise appears every year around Raja players entering their final months, yet many end up renewing and showing their loyalty to the club. He insisted Raja have not received any formal offer from Al Ahly, nor any proposal involving a player swap
