Raja Casablanca appoint Fadlu Davids as new head coach
Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have named South African tactician Fadlu Davids as their new head coach, following the departure of Tunisian trainer Lassaad Chabbi.
The club announced that Chabbi’s exit came “by mutual agreement” after an assessment of pre-season preparations and the early results of the new campaign.
Davids, who previously served as assistant coach, was instrumental in Raja’s remarkable 2023/24 season, when the Green Eagles secured a historic double without suffering a single defeat.
In a statement, the club explained that Davids’ familiarity with the squad and his ability to foster unity were decisive factors in his promotion.
The appointment, Raja stressed, aligns with its long-term vision of establishing stability both on and off the pitch.
The Casablanca-based side also expressed gratitude to Chabbi and his backroom staff for their contributions, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
