Raja Casablanca have announced the signing of Kosovan international attacking midfielder Besar Halimi in the current transfer window.
The midfielder joins the Moroccan football powerhouse on a free transfer, bolstering their squad for the remainder for the campaign.
Halimi joins Raja after terminating his contract with Polish club Śląsk Wrocław, marking his first experience in African football after a long professional career in several European leagues, particularly in Germany and Denmark.
Born on December 12, 1994, Besar Halimi is an experienced playmaker known for his precise left foot, his ability to shoot from outside the penalty area, his excellent vision, and his playmaking skills. These are the qualities that Raja’s coaching staff are counting on to add significant depth to their attacking midfield.
The Kosovan international has had several experiences throughout his professional career, most notably in the German Bundesliga with Mainz 05, FSV Frankfurt, and Sandhausen, before moving to the Danish league to play for Brøndby for two seasons, followed by a recent stint in the Polish league.
At the international level, Halimi previously represented Germany at youth levels before choosing to play for the Kosovo national team, where he has participated in several official matches in World Cup and European Championship qualifiers. He is considered a key player for the national team’s coaching staff.
