Raja Casablanca and Wydad Casablanca will host their home games for the 2024-2025 season at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, as confirmed by Abdellatif Ennaciri, Vice President of the Municipality of Casablanca. This arrangement comes as the Mohammed V Complex, their traditional home ground, undergoes extensive renovations in preparation for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Both teams, competing in the Botola Pro, the Champions League, and the Coupe du Trône, have had to find alternative venues due to the ongoing construction at Mohammed V Complex.

Raja Casablanca, accustomed to playing at Berrechid Stadium during these renovations, will join Wydad at Larbi Zaouli Stadium.

Wydad, on the other hand, has been hosting their matches at Bachir Stadium in Mohammadia since the closure of the Mohammed V Complex.

Abdellatif Ennaciri stated that the Larbi Zaouli Stadium would be made available to both clubs once the necessary requests are filed.

This stadium, located in Casablanca, will serve as a temporary home for both Raja and Wydad until the Mohammed V Complex reopens.

The relocation is significant as it ensures that both clubs can maintain their competitive schedules without interruption.

The Mohammed V Complex is being upgraded to meet the standards required for hosting the prestigious AFCON2025, an event that necessitates world-class facilities and infrastructure.

This move to Larbi Zaouli Stadium reflects the resilience and adaptability of these prominent Moroccan clubs.

Both Raja and Wydad have a storied history and large fan bases, making the smooth continuation of their home games crucial.

The temporary relocation also underscores the importance of the Mohammed V Complex’s renovation, which aims to enhance the stadium’s capacity and amenities, ensuring it can host international events and accommodate growing spectator demands.

Raja Casablanca and Wydad Casablanca have been key players in Moroccan and African football, with significant achievements in domestic and continental competitions.

Their temporary shift to Larbi Zaouli Stadium is a testament to their commitment to maintaining their competitive edge and providing their fans with high-quality football experiences despite the ongoing construction challenges.

As the renovations progress, the anticipation builds for the reopening of the Mohammed V Complex.

This iconic stadium is not only a football venue but also a symbol of Moroccan football heritage.

The upgrades will likely elevate its status, making it a premier destination for football fans and a fitting stage for the AFCON2025.

In the interim, Larbi Zaouli Stadium will be the stage where Raja and Wydad continue to pursue their ambitions in various competitions.

The fans, while looking forward to returning to their beloved Mohammed V Complex, will undoubtedly support their teams with unwavering enthusiasm at their temporary home.
