Ragnar Ache continued his impressive form in the 2. Bundesliga, opening the scoring in Kaiserslautern’s emphatic 3-0 victory over Schalke 04 at the VELTINS-Arena.
The German-born Ghanaian striker struck in the 12th minute, finishing coolly from the center of the box after a pinpoint cross from Filip Kaloc.
Ache’s early goal set the tone for a dominant Kaiserslautern performance in front of a packed crowd. Despite Schalke controlling 55% of possession, the visitors were clinical, doubling their lead in the 52nd minute through Daniel Hanslik, whose spectacular left-footed strike from distance left Schalke’s keeper stranded.
Daisuke Yokota sealed the win in the 61st minute, expertly converting a pass from Hanslik to the top right corner. The victory extended Kaiserslautern’s superior head-to-head record against Schalke to five wins in seven encounters.
Ache, who now boasts nine goals in 13 league appearances, lasted 44 minutes before being substituted. Kaiserslautern next face Karlsruher SC on December 7, aiming to maintain their upward momentum in the league standings.
