Rafiu Durosinmi: Nigerian Pisa forward linked with move to Genk
Rafiu Durosinmi, the Nigerian centre-forward currently at Pisa, is attracting interest from Belgian side Genk over a potential move from Serie B to the Jupiler Pro League. The 23-year-old is under contract with the Italian club until 30 June 2030, meaning any deal would require the Belgians to negotiate a fee rather than pursue a free transfer.
Genk’s interest comes just six months after Durosinmi joined Pisa from Viktoria Plzen in a €9m transfer in January 2026. His current market value is listed at €7m, giving an early indication of the level at which Pisa may look to protect their investment if formal talks develop.
The Lagos-born striker has already sampled top-flight football, making 12 appearances in Serie A and registering one goal and one assist before Pisa’s current campaign in Serie B. He has also built up experience in European competition, scoring four goals and supplying two assists in 10 Europa League outings, alongside further strikes in Champions League and Conference League qualifying ties.
Before his move to Italy, Durosinmi came to prominence in Czech football with Karvina, where he won the Czech second division title in 2022-23, and subsequently with Viktoria Plzen, for whom he delivered consistently in domestic and European fixtures.
Standing at 1.92m and preferring his right foot, he was brought to Pisa on a long-term deal in January as a key attacking investment, and the length of his contract is likely to give the Serie B club a strong negotiating position should Genk decide to advance their interest.
