Rafik Kamergi joins CS Hammam-Lif on free transfer

Tunisian centre-forward Rafik Kamergi has joined CS Hammam-Lif from Libyan side Al-Wefaq on a free transfer, returning to Tunisia with a contract running until 30 June 2028.

Kamergi, 31, completed the move on 14 September and will play in Ligue 1, the competition in which he has made the biggest mark during his career. He has scored 28 goals in 100 Ligue 1 appearances, alongside three goals in 17 Ligue I Pro Playoff matches.

The striker joins Hammam-Lif after a spell with Al-Wefaq in the Libyan Premier League. He moved to the Libyan club in November 2025 after a period without a club, having previously left Tunisia’s Al-Sahel Club in July of that year.

Kamergi’s career has included spells with a number of clubs in Tunisia and Egypt, with the forward also representing US Ben Guerdane, US Tataouine, AS Marsa, Al-Faisaly and Entag El Harby. He began his senior career with Esperance Tunis’ youth teams after playing for Esperance U19.

His most productive Ligue 1 campaign came in 2022-23, when he finished as the competition’s leading scorer with 14 goals. That season added to an honours list which includes a Tunisian Championship title won with Esperance Tunis in 2013-14.

Kamergi has also featured in continental competition, scoring once in three AFC Champions League appearances and making two appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup. His record includes further goals in the Tunisian Cup and Libyan Premier League.

The right-footed striker, listed at 1.90m, now returns to the Tunisian top flight to lead the attack for CS Hammam-Lif. The deal was completed without a transfer fee and keeps him at the club through the end of June 2028.
