Rafik Djebbour is set to continue his football career in Turkey, specifically with Sivasspor. The Algerian international striker, who departed Olympiakos, confirmed the move on Twitter: “On the road to a new challenge: proud and happy to join Sivasspor and the Turkish championship! Thank you to the Olympiakos supporters for all these wonderful years spent with them!”
Djebbour had extended his contract with Olympiakos Piraeus for three seasons but was subsequently loaned to Sivasspor. Although he is on loan, a clause in the contract allows him to leave the club in January, with the interested team required to pay the departure clause to Olympiakos. The 29-year-old striker was the top scorer in the last Greek Championship and began his career with Auxerre.
