Rafik Belghali, consistently starting as right wing-back for Hellas Verona, delivered another outstanding display versus Serie A giants Inter Milan.

In a match where Verona expected to play on the back foot, Belghali seized a counterattack opportunity to carve out a near assist that left fans on the edge of their seats.

After Inter initially led with a stunning goal by Zelinski, Verona fought back, leveling the score through Giovane before halftime. With the game poised at 1-1, Belghali surged down the right wing in the closing stages. He executed a clever one-two with Gagliardini near the halfway line, broke in behind Inter’s Augusto, and delivered a pinpoint cross to Orban. Orban’s driven shot, however, rattled off the far post instead of finding the net.

Inter eventually clinched the win with a late own goal by Frese. Despite the loss, Belghali’s attacking drive and composure stood out as a major positive.

“We’ll keep fighting. The season isn’t over, and we’re determined to stay up,” Belghali commented after the final whistle, inspiring optimism for Verona’s relegation battle.
