Juventus are monitoring Hellas Verona defender Rafik Belghali as a potential future option at right-back, with the Serie A champions linked with a move for the 23-year-old.

Belghali, who represents both Algeria and Belgium at national level, is currently on the books at Verona and is valued at around €3.50m according to the latest data. Transfermarkt lists the probability of a move only as “?”, underlining that negotiations, if any, remain at a speculative stage rather than an advanced one.

No contract end date is recorded for the right-back at Verona, leaving open the possibility that his situation could evolve towards a free-agent scenario in the future, something that may be attracting attention from potential suitors. For now, though, there is no indication in the data that a deal with Juventus is close or agreed.

Belghali’s rise has been steady rather than explosive. Born in Leuven on 7 June 2002 and standing at 1.80m, he came through a series of youth systems, including PSV Eindhoven’s academy, before spells with Lierse SK Youth, SV Zulte Waregem Youth and Lommel SK’s age-group sides. He progressed to Lommel SK’s first team, moved to KV Mechelen in 2023 and later joined Hellas Verona, where his market value has climbed from €250,000 at 19 to its current €3.50m.

Primarily a right-back, Belghali is listed as a right-footed defender and wears the number 7 shirt at Verona. He has played in Belgium and Italy, gaining experience in different tactical environments, which may appeal to Juventus as they look to refresh and deepen their defensive options.

If a move were to materialise, a step from Verona to Turin would mark the most significant chapter of Belghali’s career to date and could accelerate both his profile in Serie A and his prospects on the international stage.
