Rafa Mir hails Vinicius Junior as one of the world’s best ahead of Real Madrid clash

Elche striker Rafa Mir has offered a glowing assessment of Vinicius Junior before facing Real Madrid, describing the Brazilian as one of the standout players on the planet right now.

Speaking ahead of tonight’s La Liga meeting, Mir underlined just how difficult Vinicius is to contain for any defence.

“Vinicius is one of the best players in the world. I think he has a very specific style of play, and it doesn’t necessarily appeal to everyone, but I believe Vinicius makes a difference and is very good,” the Elche forward said, highlighting both his uniqueness and match-winning impact.

The 25-year-old winger has put up impressive numbers again this season, recording 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for Real Madrid. Even so, he comes into the clash with Elche looking to get back on the scoresheet after going three matches without a goal.

For Mir and his teammates, containing Vinicius will be essential if Elche are to take anything from their visit to the Bernabéu, where Madrid’s Brazilian star remains one of the biggest threats in world football.
