Radhi Jaïdi in advanced talks to take helm at Paradou AC
Paradou AC, the Algerian football club, is on the verge of appointing Radhi Jaïdi as their new head coach following the departure of former manager Corentin Martins. The club’s management is reportedly in advanced discussions with Jaïdi, who currently serves as the assistant coach at Cercle Bruges in Belgium.
The decision to part ways with Martins, a French coach, was reportedly driven by financial considerations, despite Paradou AC’s commendable performance in the ongoing season.
According to sources close to the club, the leadership has opted for a change at the helm, leading to negotiations with Jaïdi.
Radhi Jaïdi brings a wealth of coaching experience to the table, having previously managed Esperance de Tunis, Hartford Athletic in the United States, and the Southampton U23s in England.
With 107 international caps for Tunisia, Jaïdi is not only well-versed in coaching but also boasts an illustrious playing career.
Having earned a UEFA Pro diploma, the highest coaching qualification in Europe, Jaïdi is widely respected in football circles for his tactical acumen and player development skills.
His tenure at Cercle Bruges has seen him work closely with head coach Miron Musiclic, contributing to the team’s success in the Belgian league.
Born in Gabès, Tunisia, Jaïdi enjoyed a successful playing career, featuring prominently for Esperance before making his mark in English football with clubs like Bolton Wanderers, Birmingham City, and Southampton.
If the negotiations between Paradou AC and Jaïdi reach a successful conclusion, the Tunisian tactician is expected to take charge of the team for the remainder of the current season and beyond.
His appointment would signal a new chapter for Paradou AC as they aim to continue their upward trajectory in Algerian football.
