Radamel Falcao, the AS Monaco striker who has been sidelined since January due to a serious knee injury, is still holding onto the dream of participating in the upcoming World Cup. Despite his rehabilitation process, Falcao remains hopeful of being fit in time for the tournament, which is just five weeks away.
Speaking after receiving the prize for the best Ibero-American player awarded by the Superior Sports Council, Falcao expressed satisfaction with his progress in rehabilitation and remained optimistic about his chances of playing in the World Cup.
“I am recovering very well. I’m happy with the progress, it’s better than expected and I hope it continues like this. There is still time before the World Cup. There are still steps to take in my rehabilitation. When the time comes to make a decision, we’ll see if I’m available. My future? Honestly, I only think about my knee, nothing else. I am thinking of recovering well, coming back in great shape, and playing in the World Cup,” he said, as reported by As.
In Colombia, the nation awaits anxiously, still holding onto hope for the recovery of their beloved idol, even though the timeline might be tight for him to fully participate in the World Cup.
