The Libyan Premier League’s final stage could again be decided on foreign soil, with three nations currently in the running to host the climax of the 2024/2025 season.
Libyan Football Federation (LFF) President Abdelmoula Al-Maghraby confirmed that Italy, Qatar, and Algeria are being considered as possible hosts.
“Choosing the country that will host the finals of the league championship is a difficult decision,” Al-Maghraby said in televised comments on Sunday.
“We will first sit down with the teams that will succeed in qualifying for this round, before making the final decision.
“Several countries are candidates to host the league finals, including Italy, due to the proximity of the distance and the success of the experiment last season.
“We also have other offers from Qatar and Algeria, which are equally strong candidates.”
Last season, Italy staged the decisive matches, providing a neutral venue where Al Nasr emerged as champions. The LFA appears open to another overseas finale, as talks with qualified clubs are expected to shape the outcome.
