RA2 claim first Saudi win as Ultra Chmicha stay top in Kings League MENA

RA2 secured the first victory for a Saudi Arabian team in the Kings League MENA after a dramatic shootout against Egypt’s Turbo, while Ultra Chmicha moved to the top of the table with a second successive win.

The second matchday of Split 1 took place at the Coal Arena in Riyadh on Monday, 21 September, with 10 teams from across the Arab world competing. The event also marked Saudi National Day, with the venue decorated in the national flag and special activities held for supporters.

The five matches produced 47 goals, excluding shootouts, surpassing the 44 scored on the opening day.

“Matchday two gave fans everything they came for: more goals, strong competition, excitement until the final moments and a high level of seven-a-side football,” said Wael Al-Fayez, executive director of Kings League MENA.

“What made it even more special was celebrating Saudi National Day. We are very proud to share this occasion with our fans in Riyadh and everyone in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia is the home of Kings League in the region, and it was fantastic to experience these scenes at Coal Arena while bringing together celebration, competition and sport.”

Ultra Chmicha, led by Moroccan content creator Ilyas El Maliki, beat Saudi side Rising Peaks 7-3 to maintain their perfect start. Rising Peaks, captained by Saudi creator Abdulrahman Al-Shahri, remain ninth after two defeats.

ABO FC, representing Qatar and led by Abu Fلة, also made it two wins from two by defeating DR7, the Kings Cup MENA holders led by Saudi creator Drb7h. The match finished 2-2 after normal time before ABO FC won the shootout 4-3, lifting them to third. DR7 are eighth after consecutive losses.

RA2, led by Saudi creator Raed, beat Turbo in the closing match of the night. The teams drew 4-4, then each missed five penalties before RA2 finally converted the decisive kick. The result moved RA2 into sixth place, while Turbo, led by Egyptian creator Tarboun, dropped to 10th after a second defeat.

Kuwait’s FWZ, captained by creator Fawaz, remained second after edging Red Zone 7-6. The match featured several goals from Presidents’ Penalties, and was Red Zone’s first defeat, leaving them fourth. Jordanian side 3BS, led by Absi, responded with a 9-3 win over Morocco’s Bakhira FC, whose creators are Younes Zaro and Ashraf Sabiri. Following a coaching change after day one, 3BS appointed Mohammed Abdullah Al-Zoubi (Abu Al-Amir). They climbed to fifth, while Bakhira FC fell to seventh.

Ultra Chmicha’s Massi Dabo and Red Zone’s Mohamed Abdel Fattah lead the scoring charts with four goals each. Ultra Chmicha’s Marc Granero was named matchday MVP, while ABO FC goalkeeper Manel Jimenez leads the saves ranking with 17, ahead of DR7’s Davi “Major” Nata on 16.

Matchday three is scheduled for Friday, 25 September. The leaders qualify directly for the semi-finals, while teams finishing second to seventh enter a three-match quarter-final round. Matches are available through the official Kings League MENA channels on Kick, YouTube, TikTok and Twitch, with MBC Action and Shahid providing coverage through MBC.
