Finland and Sierra Leone midfielder Glen Kamara is being linked with a move from Stade Rennais to Championship club QPR.

Kamara, 30, joined Rennes from Leeds in July 2024 in a deal reported at €10m and remains under contract with the Ligue 1 side until 30 June 2028. His current market value is listed at €2m.

The central midfielder spent part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab before returning to Rennes at the end of the campaign. He has made 17 Ligue 1 appearances for the French club, providing one assist.

A move to QPR would represent a return to English football for Kamara, who developed at Arsenal and had loan spells with Southend United and Colchester United before joining Dundee in 2017. He later moved to Rangers, where he won the Scottish Premiership in 2020-21 and the Scottish Cup the following season.

Kamara was named Scottish Footballer of the Year in 2022 during his time at Rangers. He subsequently joined Leeds in August 2023 before moving to Rennes less than a year later.

There is no indication that a transfer has been agreed, with Kamara’s position at Rennes and his contract running until 2028 remaining the key factors in any potential move.
